How it Works

When compressed air passes through a restricted orifice under pressure, it flows from a pressurised laminar flow to a low pressure turbulent flow. The sudden pressure change generates turbulence that emits a broad spectrum of sound including ultrasonic sound. The leak detector zooms in on the leak's source by finding the ultrasonic sounds source.
