SGA35 Silica Gel Desiccant has proven to be the
best solution for various dehydration problems in small and large compressed air dryers. A large specific pore surface area, high bulk density, and a high porosity add up to outstanding performance. Requires a buffer layer of SGBF 35 or activated alumina to minimize fracturing.
SGBF35 Silica Gel Desiccant is not affected by water and is therefore generally recommended as a buffer layer. It is far
more resistant to fracturing than other silica gels. The adsorption capacity is slightly lower
than SGA35 Silica Gel Desiccant but certainly high enough to be used as a primary desiccant for a complete bed in severe conditions.
SGBL35 Desiccant Silica Gel is made blue with cobalt chloride as an indicator. The color-change desiccant may be used whenever visual control of moisture is desirable. Color changes from blue to pink when saturating. The
color change does not mean that SGBL35 Silica Gel Desiccant is fully saturated, the desiccant can continue to adsorb
moisture up to 40% of its own weight. Regenerate at 350° F, in a regenerative tower or
in a drying oven for smaller applications.
