About Compressor Oils
eCompressedair supplies all types of industrial lubricants. Our compressor oils are formulated with the latest technology. Compressor oil compatible with both reciprocating and rotary air compressors are available. Advantages of eCompressedair's synthetic lubricants include:
Works well with air compressors used in extreme, severe or routine service
Lubricity and thermal and oxidative stability
Improved air compressor efficiency
Increased heat transfer ability
Reduced air compressor maintenance cost
Lower energy consumption
Longer peroids between lubricant drain (up to 8,000 hours)
Available in a wide range of viscosity grades
Protecting your Air Compressor Intake Air Improves Compressor Oil Life
Dirt and Debris in the Air
- Dust and debris in the air like chicken feathers or cement dust near the air compressor air intake reduces compressor oil life.
Chemical fumes
- Fumes from your process get sucked into the air compressor and cause trouble in the air compressor and downstream in the compressed air system. Fumes to avoid include: ammonia, ink solvents, chlorinated degreasers, plastic molding fumes, forklift exhaust, acids, chlorine, and nearly any other solvent, acid or oxidizer. Fumes in the air compressors intake air will shorten compressor oil life.
You can address these issues by by regular air intake filter change-outs or by relocating the air compressors air intake to the roof or another clean air source. Regular filter change-outs only have a small benefit against chemical fumes. The best course of action is to move the compressor's air intake when excessive fumes are present.
Better Lubricants by Design
eCompressedair's synthetic lubricants are manufactured using state-of-the-art chemical reactions. The compressor oil is chemically designed to improve on nearly every aspect of lubrication compared to traditional compressor oils. By design synthetic lubricants outperform traditional lubricant in severe operating conditions.
Synthetic lubricants manufacturing process minimizes the traditional causes of lubricant breakdown impurities, contaminants, and unsaturation. The benefits of using a high quality synthetic oil to your organization include:
Longer lasting compressors
Reduced compressor oil consumption
Less unscheduled air compressor maintenance
Longer lasting compressor oils reduce maintenance and waste oil disposal costs
eCompressedair Compressor Oils Advantages
Cool Running Air Compressors.
Due to synthetic oils low friction and good thermal conductivity they reduce operating temperatures by up to 40°F compared to traditional compressor oils.
Reduce Corrosion, Emulsion and Foam.
Our synthetic oils readily separate from water. The easy separation dramatically reduces oil water emulsions that degrade the oils ability to lubricate. Reducing emultions makes draining water from the sump easier and extends the service life of the compressor lubricant. Rust preventatives additionally protect compressor components from corrosion caused by water.
Carbon Build Up Control Minimizes Sludge, Varnish, and Lacquer.
The anti-oxidants in eCompressedair's synthetic oils minimize sludge, varnish, and lacquer. Plus, the detergent in the oil cleans system components further controlling carbon build up.
Synthetic Lubricants Compared to Mineral Oil
Year Round Dependability
The wider temperature range of synthetic oils makes for easier start ups in Winter minimizing cold start wear and tear on compresssor components. And the higher temperature capacity ensures excellent lubrication under the hottest Summer sun. The reduction in compressor sludge and varnish plus the better temperature range minimizes the chance of fire and explosion hazard compared to mineral oil.
Reciprocating Air Compressor Lubricant Benefits
Benefits of using synthetic compressor oils for reciprocating compressors:
Low volatility
High flash points
High auto ignition temperatures
Excellent oxidative and thermal stability
Low carbon-forming tendencies
Good natural solvency and detergency
Antirust properties
Low lubricant feed rates for compressor cylinders, which means less lubricant carry-over into the high-pressure air stream
Rotary Screw Air Compressors and Rotary Vane Air Compressors Lubricant Benefits
Benefits of using synthetic compressor oils for rotary screw air compressors and rotary vane air compressors include all the benefits of reciprocating air compressors plus...
Lower annual compressor oil cost (oil life of up to 8000 hours)
Cleaner compressors, intercoolers, and aftercoolers help eliminate vane sticking
Reduced energy consumption
Lower lubricant makeup rates
Improved compressor efficiency
Excellent cold-weather start-up
Low volatility
High flash points
High auto ignition temperatures
Excellent oxidative and thermal stability
Low carbon-forming tendencies
Good natural solvency and detergency
Antirust properties
Low lubricant feed rates for compressor cylinders, which means less lubricant carry-over into the high-pressure air stream
Replace Mineral Oil with Food Grade Lubricants in Food Plants
Food processing plants see some real process benefits from migrating their air compressors from mineral oil to a H1 lubricant. eCompressedair offers two H1 food grade lubricants
ECAFG32
and
ECAFG46
click for more information. The benefits of using a food grade synthetic include:
Nearly eliminate periodic costly internal cleaning of air compressors
Increase your air compressors life time by reducing wear
Reduce the amount of lubricant needed
Save on labor by increasing the time between scheduled maintenance and by curtailing unscheduled maintenance
eCompressedair's ECAFG32 and ECAFG46 food grade lubricant meet all requirements under FDA Regulation 21 CFR 172.878 and 178.3570 for food contact.
