Diester based compressor oils are approved for use by more air compressor manufacturers than any other synthetic lubricants. Diester based compressor oil is the most widely used compressor synthetic lubricant today. A real benefit of running synthetic lubricants is the built-in detergency. The detergent results in longer lasting air compressor parts, which reduces or eliminates oil separator varnishing and plugging and sticking of air compressor valves.
