Our refrigerated air dryers remove moisture from indoor air lines and reduce maintenance costs associated with air line contaminants. Backed by 50 years of expertise, Van Air’s refrigerated compressed air dryers RD Series offers these advantages and features:
- 35-38°F dew point
- Shell and tube heat exchangers for maximum performance and low pressure drop
- No heat exchanger freeze-ups with low loads
- 160°F maximum inlet temperature
- CFC-Free R134A refrigerant
- Non-cycling refrigerant compressors
- Refrigerant analyzer gauge
- Compressor run light
- Built in drain valve (mechanical on RD-10 to RD-30 and electronic on all other units
Effective Moisture Removal for Indoor Air Systems
For indoor air line protection, RD Series refrigerated dryers keep your pneumatic equipment running at peak efficiency with a constant 35°F-38°F dew point.
Low-Load Protection
A capacity control valve allows the dryer to operate efficiently at low loads by preventing heat exchanger freeze-ups. It also keeps the dew point steady when the flow changes.

Refrigerated Dryer Sizing
If operating conditions vary from the standard of 100 PSIG, 100°F inlet temperature, and 100°F ambient, use the correction factors against the standard flow to size a refrigerated compressed air dryer.
Example
125 SCFM at 120°F inlet temperature, 125 PSIG and 110°F ambient.
125 * 1.3 * .98 * 1.1 = 175.1 SCFM

Filter Assembly Recommendations
Click on the filter assembly part number for pricing and full specifications. There is a drawing below the recommendation table that shows where in the system the filters should be installed. RD Series dryers should have atleast a 1 um coalescer upstream of them to remove bulk liquid and oil.

Sizing Tool
Select your inlet air temperature, PSIG, maximum ambient temperature, and enter your SCFM to and click "Size It" to get a refrigetated dryer recommendation.
